POSTER
What is a poster session?
A poster session is an opportunity to visually display facts and information about a project, new product or service, technology concept, or brief case study. Unlike a speech or verbal presentation, a poster session allows viewers to study and restudy information published on printed posters.
Time and Location
- The UA IT Summit Poster Session will take place on Wednesday, July 10
- Posters will be displayed from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom.
- Poster presenters will be expected to remain with their poster 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. to discuss ther project with Summit attendees.
- Poster set up will be available from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9 and must be completed by July 10 at 8:30 a.m.
Abstracts should:
- Be a maximum of two hundred words in length
- Include a list of authors and his/her title
- Include the intended poster presenter(s) and his/her title
- Include the affiliation (department or college)
Digital/Exhibit/Demo
- 6'x8' exhibit tables will be available for digital demonstrations. Two chairs will be provided.
- Poster presenters will need to supply their own computer and screen. If you select this option, please indicate if you will need access to an electrical outlet.
- Printed posters can be in portrait or landscape format
- Maximum dimensions of 48” (longest dimension) × 36” (shortest dimension)
- Posters must be mounted on foam core and will be displayed on easels. (Easels will be provided free of charge.)
